Tim brings to his clients a deep knowledge from his work in IT and intellectual property, logistics and transport, procurement and supply chain management, corporate advisory and mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive experience in drafting, negotiating and advising on contracts for the supply of goods and services of all kinds, including complex technology and logistics outsourcing arrangements. Tim has advised creators of IP on the capture, protection and exploitation of their work, and providers and users of technology on development, implementation, maintenance, licensing, outsourcing and other arrangements. Tim also regularly assists clients with specialist regulatory advice and corporate transactions including acquisitions and divestments, joint ventures, due diligence and general corporate advisory, including advising off-shore businesses in connection with the start-up and ongoing management of their Australian operations . Tim has acted for government and a number of medium to large corporates in the retail, manufacturing, transport, pharmaceutical, technology, media, telecommunications and banking sectors.
Tim has had both private practice and in-house experience having undertaken secondments in his previous firm. This included nearly a year and a half with TNT at its head office in Amsterdam, where Tim was acting general counsel for the logistics division. Since then, many clients (both providers and users of logistics and transport services) have benefitted from Tim's first hand logistics, transport and supply chain management experience and expertise.
Tim holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from Sydney University and a Master of Laws degree from Heidelberg University in Germany majoring in IP, technology and EU law. Tim is fluent in German and has a good working knowledge of French and Dutch.
