Swaab Senior Associate Naomi Messenger has been elected to the Board of Regional Arts NSW, joining the likes of Chief Executive for Sydney Festivals 2010 – 2012 Lindy Hume.

Swaab Senior Associate Naomi Messenger has been elected to the Board of Regional Arts NSW, joining the likes of Chief Executive for Sydney Festivals 2010 – 2012 Lindy Hume.

Regional Arts NSW is the peak body for regional arts activity in NSW. They provide a range of services and represent a state-wide network of Regional Arts Boards in the key areas of advocacy, capacity building, communications and support.

Naomi has always had a keen interest in the arts, having completed a degree in Arts Management at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

I worked for a local theatre company , music promoter and art auctioneer in Perth before I decided to do my law degree. I always wanted to do work for artists and have a great client base at Swaab which includes Regional Arts NSW,” says Naomi.

Naomi has had a long time association with the Arts Law Centre of Australia having written their best-selling book Business Structures and Governance: A Practical Guide for the Arts and has also been the recipient of their Law Contributor Prize six years in a row.

I feel very privileged to have been considered for this role and accept it with great excitement. I think it is really important to have interests outside of the law, but to be able to mix the two as part of my career is something I am really proud of and thankful for.”
