Congratulations to James Skelton who has been announced as a winner in the commercial category of the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 awards for 2017.
James is one of 30 young guns recognised as the best young talent in the Australian legal profession. Each candidate was judged on their submission of work over the past 12 months, their leadership within their firm and their contributions to the legal profession.
James is an associate of Swaab Attorneys’ corporate, commercial and intellectual property practice with a focus on business advice, corporate and commercial transactions, commercialisation of intellectual property rights and brand protection strategies.
James has previously been a finalist in the 2016 Australian Law Awards for ‘Young Gun of the Year’ and was also a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly ’30 Under 30’ Awards in 2015.
In addition to his work at Swaab Attorneys, James was elected an Executive Councillor of NSW Young Lawyers in 2015 and has been appointed to the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Law Society of NSW. James also sits on the board of prominent Sydney charity — The Aurora Group.
