About the role
We currently have an opportunity for a talented and ambitious litigation and insolvency lawyer 3 – 6 years PQE, or sufficient experience as an insolvency accountant with legal qualifications, to work in our well-regarded litigation and insolvency team. Part of a dynamic, fast-moving and service focused practice group, this role provides regular client contact and involvement in all aspects of a broad commercial litigation and insolvency practice.
The role will provide exposure to a diverse range of clients and matters including corporate and personal insolvency, debt recovery, contractual disputes, director’s civil liability, advising directors and shareholders on their rights and obligations in a range of circumstances, partnership disputes, competition and consumer law, property, trusts and negligence in the Supreme Court, District Court, federal courts and various tribunals.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this position, you will hold an ARITA Professional Membership or be willing to undertake the ARITA Advanced Certification course in order to obtain membership. You will possess prior experience in general commercial litigation, insolvency and dispute resolution matters either in law or accounting.
You will have a passion for building strong client relationships with exposure to business development and a desire to support the continued growth of our practice and advance your career at Swaab.
You will be commercially savvy, a strong communicator, possess excellent technical abilities and appreciate the importance of attention to detail, planning your time effectively and meeting deadlines.
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic commercial litigation and insolvency lawyer who has the aptitude and desire to develop a practice. This role would also suit an insolvency accountant with legal qualifications looking to make their move into law.
