In a feature of The Australian earlier this week, the findings of the 2022 Australian Partnership Survey conducted by Eaton Strategy + Search, were published. The survey revealed gender equality within Australian law firm partnerships. Swaab was ranked an impressive second place with 50 per cent of equity partners being female.

The survey highlighted the number of female equity partners in Australian law firms still hover around on average 27 per cent. Swaab’s Managing partner Mary Digiglio said,“We have been able to achieve this balance of gender equity organically, without the need for quotas using a merit based system that recognises an individual’s performance and cultural fit. This also extends to our FTE partners where 40.28 per cent are female, well above the average of 31.9 per cent.”
